Her other daughter was sitting with a friend in the front of the church. The older, well dressed gentleman stopped beside Edie and asked if he could sit beside her. It was Dave’s voice. As she stood outside his open window, he said, “I sure wish I had the time to talk awhile, but I’ll have to settle for a quick kiss, instead.”
